House Alpha
2024
Palm Desert, CA
Hogan Carter Energy’s pilot project involves an average-sized home that came with a 5-kilowatt rooftop solar array already installed when purchased. HCE worked with the homeowner to optimize energy consumption and generate up to 77% of the home’s energy directly from the sun.
HCE configured and installed a full package of energy monitoring smart plugs and replaced all legacy lighting with LED bulbs. Working with a certified electrician, HCE added a home energy monitor that provides real-time consumption insights, machine learning pattern recognition for devices, and cross-functional compatibility with the smart plugs.
